The Old Tennis Court Community
The Old Tennis Court (TOTC) is a community house – a place of healing and united prayer, and a suburban retreat, run on the principle of ‘desire lines’. A small community is growing through the gatherings that take place in the house.
The house has a dedicated prayer chapel and two meeting rooms, one very large, both with TV facilities. There is also a bedroom with en suite available for visitors to the house.
Tucked away in a quiet road not far from Grays’ town centre, TOTC is the venue for regular prayer events of all kinds: · Thurrock Healing Rooms weekly ‘surgeries’ · 24-7 prayer weeks · Gatekeepers of the Gateway (Thurrock’s Intercessors’ Network) gatherings · A Year For London prayer days (every 30th of the month throughout 2008, linking in with Global Day of Prayer) · Grays Leaders’ Prayer · Thurrock Church Leaders’ Day of Prayer and Fasting (on the first Thursday of the New Year)

TOTC’s office is also hub for a number of other prayer and missional activities, such as: · The Thurrock Bar’N’Bus Project · The Turn Of The Tide Thames Gateway Prayernet · Ebenezer Homes and Social Outreach (supporting an orphanage and enterprise projects in Chennai, India) · Transformation Thurrock
Regular events at TOTC are currently: · Mondays – Open4Prayer – house open all day for prayer 9am-9pm · Tuesdays – TOTC Community Prayer Gathering 8-10pm · Wednesdays – Thurrock Healing Rooms 8-10pm · Thursdays – Nurture Nite starts 8pm + occasional Nooma Nites – DVD and food · Sundays – monthly Gatekeepers of the Gateway gatherings
