Your Invitation to the Global Day of Prayer
Leaders Reception

Thursday 16th October

GlobalDayOfPrayerWe are writing to thank you and your network for your prayers, involvement and ongoing support of the National Canopy of Prayer and the Global Day of Prayer London.

It is exciting to see the growing momentum, unity and engagement across the Capital. Hundreds of churches and thousands of Christians joined up in 33 nights of consecutive prayer in every London borough in August for young people and against gun/knife related crime.

As ever Global Day of Prayer London wants to be forward looking and therefore we are excited to announce that the theme for the Global Day of Prayer London May 31st 2009 is Yours is the Kingdom. The event will be transfused with Unity, Prayer and Transformation as we ask churches to bring the unchurched and dechurched as some did to West Ham 07 and Millwall 08.

As we work towards fulfilling the vision of continuous daily 24 hour intercession culminating at North London in 2009 and then Wembley 2010; We would like to invite you and your key church leaders to join us on Thursday 16th October 2008 7pm at The Salvation Army, 24 Lymington Avenue, Wood Green, London, N22 6JA. This will be an evening of unprecedented city-wide unity, prayer and worship amongst church and marketplace leaders. We will be sharing the latest developments on our road to Wembley together with how you can engage in and be resourced by the Global Day of Prayer London.

We look forward to seeing you there on 16th October along with your close allies who are passionate about transforming our city and nation and would like to be a part of shaping the Global Day of Prayer movement. This event will also provide an opportunity for you as leaders to shape the Global Day of Prayer London on its way to Wembley.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land" - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Sincerely yours,
