State of the Nation - State of the Borough
Transformation Thurrock Prayer at St Cedd's this Saturday!
This month's Transformation Thurrock Prayer is being held this coming Saturday morning at St Cedd's Parish Church in Stifford Clays. It will be hosted by Rev Andy Higgs, Rector of Stifford, and Pastor Sam Olumoyegun of the Dayspring Chapel, who meet in St Cedd's Parish Hall. Alos hosting will be Pastor Dennis Brockhurst of North Stifford Family Church. The theme will be "State of the Borough". Prayers will be said for a number of topics in line with a major prayer event taking place on the same day at Emmanuel Church in Marsham Street, Westminster, which is being called "State of the Nation". Tim Harrold, Rob Groves, Rev John Guest and Rev Rosemary Pritchard are all attending the event at which there will be a solemn call for a month of prayer and fasting for the United Kingdom throughout march. Local networks across the nation are encouraged to hold their own prayer meetings on Saturday. They will return with ideas of how the local church can respod to this call at this challenging time in our history. This is a cross-denominational event open to church leaders and interecessors of all backgrounds - all those who have a heart to see Thurrock and this nation turn to Jesus. Also on Saturday, a group of intercessors from Thurrock Christian Fellowship will be listening to God at some of the 'high places' and 'gateways' of the borough. We look forward to their report which we'll post on the Transformation Thurrock website.
