Easter Labyrinth at St Mary’s, Dock Road, Little Thurrock
*Please note - special opening for church leaders on Tuesday 31st March @ 2:00pm*
Walk the Labyrinth
What is a Labyrinth? Imagine a maze like the maze at Hampton Court. Now take out the dead ends so that there is only one, rather bendy route to the centre. Now install some points along the path where you are invited to stop and reflect about the journey of Jesus in Holy Week.

There are things to touch, smell, taste and do at these points. Allow yourself time to stop at the installations which capture your imagination and pass over those which do not speak to you and the Labyrinth becomes a way of praying with all our senses. Now take away the tall hedges of Hampton Court and straighten out some of the paths and place the labyrinth in St Mary’s Church, Dock Road Little Thurrock.
We will be setting up the Labyrinth on March 28th in St Mary’s where it will be until Easter Sunday. We aim to keep the church open as much as possible so that people can use the Labyrinth for their preparation for Easter.
