M25 Nutcracker - 10 Days of Continuous Prayer for London LATEST NEWS

The vision of the "logistically crazy but spiritually exciting" M25 Nutcracker prayer initiative is beginning to attract prayer rooms. Being implemented in partnership with the Global Day Of Prayer London, the vision is to see London squeezed by the nutcracker of prayer until the pressure causes the nut of London to crack. The aim is to have prayer rooms situated in towns around the M25 motorway operating simultaneously from 22 to 31 May in an attmept to concentrate prayer on London, the UK and local issues for 240 continuous hours - a massive "24-10". Each participating Nutcracker prayer room will have a town-wide united cross-denominational emphasis. As with any 24-7 prayer week, each prayer room will have a prayer rota with people signing up for the hours of their choosing and then going to the prayer room to pray. On 31 May - Pentecost Sunday - each prayer room will hold a service or meeting, or be part of a town-wide GDOP event. The Nutcracker prayer rooms will be provided with Global Day Of Prayer 10-day Prayer Guides, and other materials and ideas coming out of this which can be used to create an interactive environment for all styles of prayer, all ages, all traditions and all backgrounds. A couple of recent prophetic words have indicated that the idea of beacons of the fire of prayer around the M25 is part of God's strategy at this important time in the UK's history. One vision indicated this was the start of revival. Another was of fires around London all being blown by a multi-directional wind over the dark centre of the city; gold spots appear across the blackness as the heat from the fire brings refinement. So far, Nutcracker prayer rooms will be established in Sidcup, Chislehurst, Orpington, West Horsley, Englefield Green (near Staines), Harrow, Watford, Romford and Thurrock, with others considering joining in. There also a plan to ask Southend and Medway to consider being the 'handles' of the Nutcracker.

Tim was first called to Moravian-style prayer in 1998 while helping his wife Vera hang the washing out in the garden. Between 2002 and the present day, Tim has helped to facilitate over 30 weeks of 24-7 prayer in the borough of Thurrock in South Essex. In October 2005 he facilitated The Turn Of The Tide Thames Prayer Wave – a “24-28” from the Estuary to the Source.
Tim was involved in the start-up of the Stanford & Corringham Boiler Room in 2007 and later that year The Old Tennis Court Community, a prayer house with an emphasis on healing, in Grays. He is currently involved in developing Transformation Thurrock, a resource for prayer, mission and unity – see www.transformationthurrock.com. Tim is also his borough’s ‘regional ambassador’ for the Global Day of Prayer and a facilitator of the Thames Gateway Prayernet. The M25 Nutcracker was originally an idea of John Pressdee, minister at Green Street Green Baptist Church in Orpington, and prophetic prayer walker.
