Thurrock's fifth Bar'N'Bus team starts next week!
It's just 4 years since Thurrock's first Bar'N'Bus team began at Blackshots, followed by teams at Chafford Hundred, Corringham and West Thurrock. A couple of those teams have now been and gone, but starting up next week is the fifth of Thurrock's Bar'N'Bus teams. The new team will be going out on Tuesday evenings to another one of Thurrock's 'challenging' areas notable for its 'youth problems' - Grays Beach. Of course, this maybe a challenge to us - but nothing's impossible for God! And what are perceived by society at large as problems caused by and in the lives of young people, are opportunities for God's people to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a uniquely simple, practical, relational way. The Bar'N'Bus will be parked in the Grays Beach car park next to Kilvert's Field, opposite Seabrooke Rise on Argent Street, and just in front of Thurrock Yacht Club. It's one of the oldest parts of town, but one which has seen many changes over the years. Please pray for the team - made up mostly, at the moment, of folk from Grays Baptist Church and Thurrock Christian Fellowship's Grays Congregation - as they embark on this exciting venture and vital mission. They will be gathering to pray this coming Tuesday, 28 April, at Grays Baptists and then at the actual site - and will be actually starting up on Tuesday 5 May. It's still not too late to join the team! You may have shown an interest but missed out on the training - well, we can train you when we have our next sessions. So you have no excuse not to contact us! Please get in touch with the Thurrock Teams' Co-ordinator Tim Harrold on 07 929 878 089 or tim@transforationthurrock.com.
