Thurrock joins Global Day of Pentecost Celebrations

GlobalDayOfPrayerOn Sunday 31 May, the Day of Pentecost and also the Global Day of Prayer, there will be three related events across Thurrock, starting in the east, then going to the centre, and ending in the west of of the borough.

Prayer will be a central feature of each event - and food at two of them! The GDOP's "Prayer For the World" will be said along with the Lord's Prayer. At each location, a stake will be driven into the ground as a sign of King Jesus' rulership over the length and breadth of the borough.

Everyone is invited to each gathering - so if you're able please come along! The three events are:
  • 11am Pentecost Sunday / GDOP gathering in Hardie Park, Scratton Road, Stanford-le-Hope. This is being facilitated by St Margaret's Parish Church and the Fresh Hope Community. Followed by a barbecue.
  • 1pm-ish Following Grays Baptist Church's 10.30am service, there will be a Pentecost Sunday / GDOP community barbecue at the front of the church on Orsett Road.
  • 6pm Pentecost Sunday / GDOP meeting at Aveley Christian Centre, Aveley Close, Aveley RM15 4BU.
