Transformation Thurrock Prayer this Saturday 25 July

July's Transformation Thurrock Prayer morning is at New Covenant Church, which meets in Abbotts Hall Primary School in Stanford-le-Hope.
The purpose of these times is to petition the Lord on behalf of our borough, allowing the Holy Spirit to prophetically guide us into areas of specific need. And of course, what happens in our own community is a microcosm of what's happening across our nation. Thurrock, being the physical gateway into and out of London, has its head above the parapet more than most - but how else does a watchman guard the city? Jesus has positioned us in this strategic place on the world's most important river to exercise authority in his mighty name over the negative and positive influences that seek to flow in and flow out, and our weapon is insightful, unified prayer.
Recently I heard of a prophetic word over the Thames Gateway of a swathe of saving, redeeming, sanctifying revival sweeping up the river, touching the land 15 miles inland on both sides. That includes Thurrock! So 'the people who are called by my name' must engage in self-humbling, God-seeking, wicked-ways-repenting prayer in order to catch the attention of heaven. And at that moment of critical mass will come a flooding torrent of Saviour-forgiving, land-healing community blessing.
But 2 Chronicles 7:14's 'if' won't become a 'then' through inaction, passivity and apathy - it requires an act of active action! So please come along and enjoy the warm hospitality of Pastor Ayo and a time of doing business with Jesus on behalf of our borough.
