24-7 @ 217
All during this week (18-25 October), the Stanford & Corringham Boiler Room at 217 Southend Road in Stanford-le-Hope are holding a week of continuous, creative, contemplative prayer.
All are invited to join at anytime - day or night - to pray in the prayer rooms alongside members of the Boiler Room community and the year-out Transit students who have come from all over the world to Thurrock.
Sally Harman, one of the core team at the Boiler Room, told Transformation Thurrock that the emphasis of the prayer is for local schools. "Great things are happening at the Boiler Room," she said, citing young people who are coming or returning to faith, and others who aren't even believers yet attending events in the house, "because they just like being part of a community".
Members of the 217 community will be at the Thurrock Day of Prayer at the nearby Hassenbrook School in Stanford on Saturday afternoon and evening, and there will be a Boiler Room display in the 'marketplace'.
