Thurrock's Monthly Prayer & Fasting Rota - are you on it?
At the Thurrock Day of Prayer on 24 October, Jonathan Oloyede asked for volunteers to sign up to pray and fast for Thurrock one day a month throughout the year.
Transformation Thurrock is keen to get this going for 2010, so the borough can be covered by constant, consistent prayer and fasting.
Here’s the list that came back from TDOP. You’ll notice there’s some gaps - if you know you’ve already filled it, or if you want to fill it, then please get in touch so we can publish an updated version as soon as possible.

Jonathan Oloyede also asked leaders, ministers and pastors to volunteer for another list, but this was never written down. He felt it was important for Thurrock’s leaders to lead when it comes to praying and fasting for Thurrock!
Because this was never written down, there is no record of that rota. So if you know you signed up for the other list, please let us know which day you chose, and we’ll combine the two lists. Then the people on this list can pray for the people on the other list, and vice versa! (Of course, some ministers signed up on the first list. Confused? You will be!)
TT will be emailing everyone on the lists as well, just to confirm your chosen dates, churches, phone numbers and spellings.
We hope to also publish optional monthly easy-to-use prayer guides here on the TT website.
Prayer and Fasting - the idea is to pray instead of doing a normal activity. So, you can fast from eating (totally or partially), or watching TV, or all contact with the news, or something else that demands some sacrifice and creates extra time to pray for Thurrock. By doing this, we find ourselves communicating with Father at a deeper level. (There’s plenty of resources out there on prayer and fasting should you require something more in depth than this very simple explanation.)
