GLP Day of Prayer & Fasting this Thursday

The fourth annual start-of-the-year GRAYS LEADERS PRAYER DAY OF PRAYER & FASTING takes place tomorrow, THURSDAY 7 JANUARY 2010.

colinbThe initial idea for this came from Colin Baker, pastor at Grays Baptist Church, who was part of an annual 3-day period of prayer and fasting during is time as a church planter in Bathgate in Scotland.

"All the local church leaders would be there," he says. "No one wanted to miss out on what God was saying to the church and about the local community and what He was wanting to do in the year ahead."

It's being held at THE OLD TENNIS COURT GRAYS COMMUNITY PRAYER HOUSE in
Allenby Crescent, Grays RM17 6DH.

The programme for the day is as follows:

9-10.30am Worship & Prayer
11am-12.30pm LOCAL - see the need, feel the need, kneel in need
1-2pm Communion
2.30-3.30pm NATIONAL - shakings, breakings and makings
4-5pm PERSONAL - praying each other, praying for one another

PICT3060Times and content are subject to the Lord's leading! No food will be served over this time and we ask that no one brings any! Liquid refreshments will be available, however.

We hope you've set aside this day to gather in unity on behalf of our church and community. If you can't come for the entire day, don't let that stop you from dropping in for a period.
