Old Grey Bloke is Thurrock's Krypton Factor Finalist

DSC00378In a tense semi final, local church schools' worker and portrait artist Malc Mackinnon has clawed his way into ITV's Krypton Factor final last night after narrowly coming second.

Self-confessed "Mr Old Grey Bloke", Malc spoke of being reminded of the story about the tortoise and the hare. His 'don't overdo it but stick with it' approach certainly paid off in the assault course round where Malc worked his way from last place up to second in a gripping and thrilling competition of sheer grit and determination as the other contestants fell back.

Malc's wife, local primary school teacher Donna, was seen cheering him on in the studio audience.
