COME TO THE THURROCK DAY OF PRAYER!
TDOP is a unique event on the annual church calendar of Thurrock. Whatever your age, gender, social background, status, ability, position, denomination, tradition, culture - you're welcome to join with fellow believers simply being the Body of Christ together on this special day.
We're expectant that the Lord will speak to His people and that He will move in power among us. This is because by joining together in prayer and worship we are being joyfully obedient to God's way - we're being the one's we've been waiting for by choosing to be the answer to Jesus' own prayer in John 17 that 'they may be brought into complete unity'... Jesus was only echoing what Psalm 133 says (this is a mix of the NIV and The Message):
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! ... For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. Yes, that's where God commands the blessing, ordains eternal life.
When we lose - give in to His ways, follow His commands - to God, we can only win! And then Thurrock can only win! On Saturday, God will look down on out unity and smile and bring a measure of healing to the community and the land in which we are all planted together.
So - hope to see you there!

2 Samuel 5:17-21 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold. Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; so David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The LORD answered him, "Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you." So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, "As waters break out, the LORD has broken out against my enemies before me." So that place was called Baal Perazim. The Philistines abandoned their idols there, and David and his men carried them off [and destroyed them].
