'The Big Response' coming to Thurrock

Dear friend,
Faithworks National TourThe Big Response‘The Church, the Kingdom of God and the Big Society’
I would love to invite you, as a key community leader, to the above event on Thursday 30th June 2011 at the Gateway People’s Centre, 2 High Street, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex SS17 0EY. From 10.30am for refreshments, until 4.15pm.
The event will be led by Steve Chalke MBE (left) and is part of the Faithworks national tour, The Big Response – ‘The Church, the Kingdom of God and the Big Society’, which has already been attended by over 1000 local church and community leaders.
Steve Chalke is an ordained Baptist minister who has set up a number of charities and is also UN.GIFT Special Advisor on Community Action against Human Trafficking. Steve founded Oasis Community Learning which is now the second largest sponsor of the government's academy programme.
The Big Response is designed to bring local and regional Church / Community / Charity & Agency leaders together to explore the new opportunities and challenges presented by the Coalition Government’s policies for community building and social cohesion.
I really hope you are able to take an active part in the day and I look forward to the possibility of meeting you. The day includes lunch & refreshments, also with the opportunity to contribute to an offering to cover costs for the day and a gift to the work of Faithworks. A programme for the day and booking details are below.
