Rock Thurrock Leaders Breakfast TOMORROW!
Tomorrow, Friday, 9 September, the BGEA's Gary Cobb (right) - who led the teaching at Rock Thurrock's Christian Life & Witness Courses in June - will be addressing Thurrock's church leaders at a specially arranged breakfast.
HAVE YOU BOOKED YOUR PLACE YET? If not, please see details below.
This will take place at St Margaret's Church Hall in Stanford-le-Hope, beginning at 9am.
Gary is based at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's office in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is Director of Training.
All local church leaders are invited to attend this "eat & meet" where Gary will present a message entitled “Preparing your church to welcome new Christians”.
The aim is to encourage, inspire and mobilise church leaders to be wholly involved in the Rock Thurrock events - which begin that weekend with the FM419 course for young people, and come to a head with Will Graham's presentations of the message of Jesus Christ at the Celebration of Hope and Rock Thurrock nights at Thurrock Civic Hall on the 23, 24 and 25 September, followed by the Velocity courses for new converts in October and November.
>>> For catering purposes, please contact Colin Baker at Grays Baptist Church on 07 846 43 42 45 or pastacolin@blueyonder.co.uk to let him know you're planning to come.
Below is the invitation to the breakfast from Anita Darashah-Borman at the BGEA
Rock Thurrock - Follow-up Breakfast Meeting
You are especially invited to a Rock Thurrock breakfast event on Friday 9th September – 9.00am – St Margaret’s Church, The Green, Stanford Le Hope, Essex SS17 0EP
With the final phases of Rock Thurrock fast approaching, we want to take this opportunity to ensure your church is prepared to welcome and disciple new believers.
We are hopeful that many people will come to know Christ at the Celebration of Hope and the Rock Thurrock Main Events this month.
Gary Cobb (BGEA – US) will be presenting a message entitled “How to Prepare your church for Follow Up”. The message will encourage you and equip you to enthuse and prepare your church to welcome those people who make a decision to follow Christ.
We do hope you are able to join us – we apologise for the short notice – but do hope that you are able to find space in your busy schedule to come along.
Please send an email to Colin Baker – Rock Thurrock Core Team Leader – to register your intention to attend this event by the evening of Thursday 8th September.
Thank you
Anita
