Thurrock & Havering Schools Prayer Day this Saturday

On Saturday 1 October the annual Schools Prayer Day takes place at Aveley Methodist Church on the Kennington's Estate.

We are please to welcome Suzanne Appleton of Pray For Schools who will be making a short presentation and leading one of the focus groups.

We are also blessed to have among us for the second year running Carla Taylor and the Prayer Spaces In Schools team who are making such amazing inroads in the schools of Thurrock with their innovative, interactive and creative child/young person-friendly approach to accessing the Gd who listens. Is it prayer? Is it worship? Is it evangelism? Is it mission? Maybe it's all those things - come to see and try a prayer space for yourself.

There will be other focus groups too led by Chris Pearson of Hornchurch Methodist Church and Rev John Guest from Stanford-le-Hope. A time of worship will be led by John Gorham of Fresh Hope Community in Stanford-le-Hope.

>>> After the recent Rock Thurrock events which included the EEI (Emerging Evangelists Institute) team and the band LZ7 visiting a number of local schools and colleges, and also the return of GSUS Live next autumn, praying for our schools has never been so relevant. And the doors are well and truly open.

Please see the flyer below for more details.
