Rock Thurrock in pictures
Snaps from the camera of Colin Baker
Edwin Hughes, Frank Gaisie, Mark Scutcliffe and Tim Harrold assemble to pray before one of the Rock Thurrock events. A prophetic intercessor, Mark works with the BGEA and travels all over the UK and abroad. We hope to see him back in Thurrock in the future!
The Civic Hall being prepared for Rock Thurrock. Its capacity is around 750, somewhat less than the sports halls and stadiums that the BGEA are used to! But since the demise of the 2000-seater State Cinema in Grays - where the Billy Graham satellite links took place in 1989 - this is the borough's biggest venue.
Beautiful Remnant - the five girls from West London brought us a mixture of gospel, R'n'B, soul and a capella.
Soldier and Shell Perris were comperes for both the Rock Thurrock events.
Empire Nation and their energetic rock style went down well with the punters...
... There was a veritable mosh pit in front of the stage as hordes of young people pogo-ed in impressive unison.
Rev John Guest and Tim Harrold allow themselves a brief period of rejoicing over this week's 50th anniversary of Songs of Praise.

Lindz tells it like it is...
... and loads of young people respond to the call to accept Jesus into their lives.
Colin Baker - “We’ve begun to see churches realise that it is possible to work together. People were walking in on Friday night to see what was happening, and they could hardly believe that after all this time we finally got something which we can really be proud of.”
