Corringham Baptists host Rock ('n'Roll) Thurrock!

 Our Rock Thurrock fundraising event was an amazing success.
We were entertained by two couples called "What Friends Are Four". They have been friends for many years and just love singing. This was evident by the way they led the evening.
About 60 people came and many joined in throughout the evening. There was lots of fun as we sang, danced, including line dancing, dressed up with with fancy hats and played musical instruments. Two of the group also dressed up and did a comedy sketch - excellent! Two brave folk in our audience sang with them on the platform!
Gold medals were awarded thoughout the evening by the group, much to the amusement of everyone. The day was a special one for a lady who celebrated her 93rd birthday!
 We had a refreshment break half way through when we served tea/coffee gateau and cakes. A raffle was held then for the 25 prizes that many people had very kindly donated.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and because of their generosity we raised £548.25 for Rock Thurrock.
