GLP to meet in Lakeside Chapel on 11/11/11
This Friday - the auspicious 11th of the 11th of the 11th - the Grays Leaders Prayer Breakfast will take place at Lakeside.
Local ministers and those in church leadership will meet in the Chapel on the 3rd level at 9am for an hour of prayer.
This will be followed at 10am by a time of fellowship and networking in the food courts, before an act of Remembrance at 11am.
This is the first time for a couple of years that the GLP have 'outsourced' to Lakeside Chapel - it has gone there a few times in the past. This visit will provide a timely opportunity to pray into the current economic climate with all its stresses and strains; for the many believers who work in the centre; and to reflect upon those who sacrifice their lives in times of conflict, whether we agree with those conflicts and the concept of war or not.
Colin Phillips, coordinator of the Lakeside Chaplaincy Team, welcomes the GLP's presence and hope it will return more often in future - an offer the GLP wouldn't be able to refuse!
Lakeside Chapel A friendly ear - whatever's on your mind, your Chaplain is always here to listen.
We all need someone to talk to sometimes, so it's worth remembering the Lakeside Chaplains are always here and ready to listen.
The Chapel is a quiet place of worship, away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre - and offers people of all religions somewhere quiet to reflect, pray or simply relax.
The Chaplaincy service is available to everyone at Lakeside and caters for people of all faiths and backgrounds.
Find the Chapel on Level 3 near the public toilets. It's open throughout Lakeside's normal shopping hours, so feel free to visit any time you like. Alternatively, call the Chaplaincy Office on 01708 450083 (if there is no answer, please leave a message).
