The Boiler Room Community in Stanford-le-Hope (right) is dedicated to God, each other and the town in which we live.
Over the last 3 years we have enjoyed hosting both Transit and Roots alongside our community.
Serving Prayer Spaces in Stanford for 12 months would look like this:
- Being an active member of our community
- Joining in with regular rhythms of prayer, study, creativity and hospitality.
- Having a missional emphasis, particularly among young people.
Visiting http://uk.24-7prayer.com/stanford/ will give you some more information about the Boiler Room.
The Prayer Spaces in Schools team in Stanford-le-Hope has been invited into x3 schools (ranging from primary through to sixth form), offering reflection and prayer space days.
http://www.prayerspacesinschools.com gives lots of information about how prayer in schools is expanding.
If you are wanting to develop your own prayer life and personal walk,
&
have a passion to see young people and children, who do not yet know God, creatively learn to pray
&
want to see how to grow a prayer space team… then why not join us?
We have a separate house to the Boiler Room that accommodate 5 people. In Stanford we like this community-living shape for our training course.
In addition to some personal study and reading, the Prayer Space team would meet regularly for training and for the God Story, a chronological study of the Bible.
We are still finalising costs, but we would expect them to be in the order of £125 a month towards core costs — including retreats, 24-7 Gathering 2011 etc.
And of course, you would need to pay for room/rent in the shared house, currently £300 per month (£3600 for the year)
So come and join us!
