Praying for Thurrock's Third Mountain

Mountain 3 aTim Harrold

On Sunday 20 March 2016, intercessors gathered at Grays Baptist Church to pray for the borough with a focus on Communications.

This is the third in a series of prayer meetings concentrating on the 'Seven Mountains of Thurrock'. These are the spheres of influence in society. See the link to the left to see what these are.

The following topics were prayed for under the main heading of Communications:
  • Local newspapers
  • Electronic news
  • Local TV
  • Local radio
  • Internet:
    • misuse, abuse and protection for adults and young people inc. Christians
    • websites disseminating church information and decalring the Good News of Jesus
    • use of Twitter, Facebook and other apps in addition
    • Transformation Thurrock's presence on the net
Mountain 3 bA strong emphasis came through the prayers on the broadcasting by all media of the message of Jesus and good news stories coming from the church, both in terms of social outreach, displays of miraculous healing, and community transformation and revival.

Current moves of God in Coleraine in Northern Island - where thousands have come to faith on the streets of the town in the past year alone - and Cwmbran in Wales - where many are also acknowledging Jesus as their Lord and healings are taking place - have been reported in the local media, shining the spotlight on the church and bringing glory to God.

>>> A prayer guide on the theme of Communications will be made available soon

The 4th Mountain of Thurrock prayer meeting is 6.30pm on 24 April at Grays Baptist Church
