Thurrock foodbank week 16-20 May

from Chris & Kim Ford, Thurrock foodbank – Distribution Centre Co-ordinators

Foodbank logoDear Thurrock foodbank supporter,

This year the Thurrock foodbank have designated 16 – 20 May as their “Foodbank week”.

We know that without the help and commitment of our volunteers, donors (both corporate and individual) and our various “voucher givers”, we would not be able to help our clients with the physical and emotional distress that their individual crisis can cause them.

In recognition of this we are inviting you and, if you represent an organisation that is supporting the foodbank, your interested friends and colleagues to a “thank you” event at St. Catherine’s Church, East Tilbury village on Tuesday 17 May starting at 7pm. We hope that this will provide an opportunity to meet with members of the Thurrock foodbank project team and others, like yourself, who support our aims and activities and share experiences with each other.

Light refreshments will be available and to assist us with the catering arrangements it would be much appreciated if you would let us know by 7 May (by replying to this e-mail address) whether you plan to join us for the evening. Again, if you represent an organisation, please give us an idea of how many of you might attend.

The Thurrock foodbank team very much look forward to meeting with you and having the opportunity to thank you for your valued support.

Sent with the team’s very best wishes,

Chris & Kim Ford
