THe TLP Refresh meet at Church of His Presence to pray worship and seek God. The theme was take from Proverbs 11.11 and was considered in a number of verisions including::
- New International Version – Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.
- The Message – When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes; evil talk turns it into a ghost town in no time.
- The Passion Translation – The blessing of favour resting upon the righteous influences a city to lift it higher, but wicked leaders tear it apart by their word
Together we considered some of the things that had been said over Thurrock and how the church of Thurrock had responded.
Then we started listing all the good services the church of Thurrock was providing and considering how to promote the work of the church of Thurrock.
Special mention was made of those from the church who work in Thurrock and the influenece they have in their workplace.
The challenge was how to go forward, It was suggested that the churches might pray from the stand point of Proverbs 11:11 and the thoughts shared above during the period between Ascension and Pentecost possibly a number of churches each hosting one prayer meeting in those ten days an people joining with others from other churches in unity.
