The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) in Charlotte, North Carolina, have designed a logo for the Rock Thurrock project

The logo will be used with all Rock Thurrock communications from now on.

This distinctive design with its obvious Britishishness could become a recognised symbol across the whole of the UK as people up and down the nation pray for the Rock Thurrock project.

Billy Graham has long had a love for this nation which is why he and the BGEA have returned to these islands again and again over the past 6 decades. Many believers across Britain can trace the point of their conversion to Jesus Christ back to a Billy Graham crusade.

So our little borough is indeed becoming an ‘epicentre’ of seismic proportions after all! Get ready as all eyes focus upon the place where the fresh water of the life-giving Holy Spirit flows with the good news of Jesus Christ!

Ros Turner, Communications Manager at BGEA UK, says:

We are just so thrilled that Rock Thurrock is taking place.

This is so exciting because the Rock Thurrock logo carries our countries national colours and flag!  Wow come onnnnnnnnnnnnn!  This is not just about Thurrock but part of something bigger that God is all over!

PICT1790As I looked at the logos I just got such a big sense that this is ALL part of God’s big plan, that Thurrock is a gateway to London and London is the capital to the UK.  Wow – you guys are part of something massive – sometimes we see things with small vision but what you do in Thurrock will set a precedence so let’s aim big – AMEN!!!

This scripture came to mind was…

Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’” (Ezekiel 37:11-14)

This is a scripture that has long been ‘in the mix’ in Thurrock, and the fact that Ros has mentioned it at this time for this place confirms that the hand of the Lord is indeed upon our borough.

Ros is on the left in the photo, praying with Annmarie Day and Lydia Field at a recent Rock Thurrock prayer event at Aveley Christian Centre.
