This year’s Shiloh conference at Church of His Presence* (COHP) in the Queensgate Centre in Orsett Road, Grays – and former Pazzazz night club and the Co-op’s Congress House – has been going on all week night and day, ending on Sunday.
Pastor of the fellowship Niyi Olujobi (leading the worship, right) – who has recently spent time in Brazil at a conference and mission run by Randy Clark of Global Awakening and Revival Alliance – sees the week as one of seeking the Lord’s presesnce with an emphasis on praise and worship. At a similar event last year, there were reports of the miraculous taking place. Everyone is invited to come along at anytime day or night while Shiloh is still on, savour the atmosphere of lively African worship, and meet with Jesus. Details can found on the link to the left of this page. >>> Could COHP be actually on or near the original site of the Assemblies of God tin hut Pentecostal Church that stood behind Salmon’s hardware store on Clarence Road in the 1920s? If so, could it be a well of salvation and healing that God is re-opening… Just a thought. Anyone out there know? Ed * COHP was formerly known as House of Praise, not to be confused with the new House of Praise in the old Mecca bingo hall / Ritz cinema in Quarry Hill. |
