from Colin Baker, pastor of Grays Baptist Church.
A dear member of Grays Baptist Church went to glory last Tuesday, 17 July. Gwen Beaugie died at the grand age of 99, not quite making her century, due in October. A lady full of faith, prayers for others, love and kindness to all she met, never had the ambition of making it to 100 but to all who knew her will know that she had no fear of death. Therefore, although we are sad at this time of loss to family, friends and the church, we shall be celebrating her well-lived life right to the end. All are welcome to the Celebration of her life taking place at Grays Baptist on 27th July at 3.00pm followed by a service of committal at South Essex Crematorium, Corbets Tey. We are announcing this news because so many across the borough knew Gwen or came into contact with her. Gwen was always keenly interested to hear about and a gracious encourager of the work of Transformation Thurrock and the progress of united prayer and mission across the borough. |
