The local Bible Society are holding a Family Fun Night at the Grays Baptist Church Hall in Hathaway Road on Friday 13 November at 7.30pm.
The event runs for 2 hours and includes games and refreshments, as well as the opportunity to give further towards the work of the Bible Society, whose motto is “Making The Bible Heard” (see www.biblesociety.org.uk).
Transformation Thurrock encourages everyone to go to this event – let’s face it, without the Word of God being spoken and read, transformation cannot become a reality for many around the world.
“Without vision, the people perish”, Proverbs 29:18 says. Another translation puts it this way: “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint.”
Romans 10:14, 17 says: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?… faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”
Here is an opportunity to give people we’ll never meet life-giving revelation, faith and vision through hearing and reading the message of the good news of Jesus Christ. This not only transforms their lives – the act of giving transforms our lives too.
