From the Foodbank office
Dear Thurrock Foodbank supporters, Please find below our April newsletter. Lots has happened since our first newsletter was published, so we hope that you enjoy finding out about our progress! If you would like any more information or if you have any feedback on its contents, please let us know. We have two food collections happening in the coming weeks: the first at Sainsbury’s in Chafford Hundred this Saturday (21st), followed by the Tesco Extra store in the Lakeside Retail Park on the 28th. Please do think of us when doing your shopping and come along to those stores to support us! If you would like to be more involved, we do need a few more volunteers for the afternoon of the Tesco collection on Saturday 28th. The day is divided into four ‘shifts’ each lasting for two hours: 8-10am, 10-12am, 12-2pm and 2-4pm. If you could help with speaking to shoppers, handing out leaflets, receiving or sorting the food donations for one of those time slots (preferably either the 12-2pm or 2-4pm shifts), please email us as soon as possible to let us know. For more details or to be added to the Foodbank email list, please contact info@thurrock.foodbank.org.uk and we will make sure this is done. We look forward to bringing you more exciting news in the months ahead! Following our newsletter, our prayer points for April can be found below. Thank you so much for your support in prayer – we were really encouraged by the response to our first set of prayer points and it is fantastic to know that so many people are praying for the foodbank. Hopefully this month’s edition inspires you too with both the answers to prayer we have seen and the opportunity for more! |
