Dear Thurrock foodbank supporter,
Please find below our October newsletter . . . with a few key dates to note.
The first and most urgent is next Saturday morning (13th). Although we are now progressing well with a more permanent storage premises, this will not be ready for another couple of months. In the meantime, the hall we have been temporarily storing the food in at Victoria Road Chapel in Stanford-le-Hope is needed again. Thankfully we can use another room in the same building, but we are moving the food on Saturday 13th from 9-11am – and will be making a head start at our normal warehouse opening time, which is on Wednesday (10th) from 1-4pm. It will be most efficient if we have a team of around 20 (strong!) people who can form a chain to pass the boxes from one hall to the other as the corridors are quite narrow. If you can help out at either or both of these sessions, that would be very much appreciated. Please reply to this email to sign up.
