Dear supporters,
Please find below our prayer points for October. We are finally making progress with our storage premises, so that is something to give thanks for – and to continue to keep in your prayers!
However, realistically we will not be able to move to a more permanent location for another couple of months. In the meantime, the hall we are currently storing the food in at Victoria Road Chapel in Stanford-le-Hope is needed. Thankfully we can use another room in the same building, but we are moving the food on Saturday 13th from 9-11am – and will be making a head start at our normal warehouse opening time, which is on Wednesday (10th) from 1-4pm. It will be most efficient if we have a team of around 20 (strong!) people who can form a chain to pass the boxes from one hall to the other as the corridors are quite narrow. If you can help out at either or both of these sessions, that would be very much appreciated – please reply to this email to sign up.
If you know of anyone who would like to be included, please feel free to forward this on and encourage them to contact us so that we can add their details to our database.
Blessings,
The Thurrock Foodbank team
