At the Transformation Thurrock Charity Breakfast Celebration on Saturday 13 May 2017, this year’s Thurrock Pentecost event was announced and posters given out to each of the churches represented.
It comes as part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer initiative on the eve of Pentecost Sunday and will be hosted by Gateway People’s Centre in Stanford-le-Hope. At last year’s Thurrock Pentecost – on 14 May 2016 – the Declaration of Unity was made by 20 churches. We hope that they and others who couldn’t be there last year will come again to explore where our unity will take us next. The new Transformation Thurrock Charity is there to help, encourage and where requested, resource and facilitate. This year we are pleased to announce that worship will be led by Tom Brown. Tom is South African and comes from a Dutch Reformist background – but he’s been on a long journey with God since those early years. He is currently training for ordination with the Church of England at St George’s in Gravesend having completed one year of the Day School at Eastgate church in Ebbsfleet. He also has connections with 24-7 Prayer. More news about Thurrock Pentecost 2017 will be posted in due course. Details of venue address and times in the flyer below, which can also be downloaded as a PDF using the link to the left for display in your church. |
